The right choice depends on your certificate. A try dive needs no certificate and no experience. The boat dives are for certified divers: two dives to 20 m at two reef sites, and you bring your certificate with you. The PADI course runs over four days and ends with an official certificate of the PADI training system, which is the right choice if you want to dive on future holidays too.

Try dive in Sharm El Sheikh: diving from the shore
The dive from the shore is the usual first dive. Pickup is around 11:00 and the bus takes you to the diving centre, where an instructor briefs you on safety, technique and what to expect. You then dive with the instructor for about 25 minutes at 4 to 10 m. The whole trip takes about two hours, and the price, from $50, includes the equipment.
Bring swimwear, a towel, sunglasses and a hat, plus a photo of your passport's first page on your phone. Drinks and photos from the photographer are extra. On the White Island and Tiran boat days you can add a shorter intro dive for a fee, at 3 to 6 m for up to 10 minutes.
Boat diving in Sharm for certified divers
Professional diving from a boat is a full day. Pickup is around 8:00, the yacht stops at two sites chosen for diving, and you make two 45-minute dives to 20 m. A buffet lunch and soft drinks are served on board, and you are back at the hotel around 17:00. Equipment and the instructor are included.
Bring your diver certificate. If you need a test dive first, it is charged separately, as are photos and video.
PADI Open Water course in Sharm El Sheikh
The PADI Open Water course takes four days. Instructors are PADI certified and groups are small. Each day the bus collects you at your hotel gate and takes you to the diving centre. Over the course you make five dives with theory and practice: two types of dive are required for certification, and the other three are chosen with your instructor according to your interests.
At the end you receive an official PADI certificate. The course costs $360. If you only want one day underwater, the shore dive or the boat dives are enough.

We might ask you to send a photo of your passport. This reduces the waiting time in the port or when leaving the reserved areas of Sharm el-Sheikh by booking everything in advance.
