The three trips are quite different. Two start after lunch at the ATV base and mix quad riding with Bedouin tea and a camel ride. The Valley of Camels trip is a morning in the national park by jeep with a guide, stopping at a viewpoint, an ancient tree and the Skiat Temple archaeological site. No licence is needed for the quads, and teenagers from 16 can ride on their own.

Super safari or quad safari in Marsa Alam
The super safari is the full programme. Pickup is around 13:00, then a briefing at the ATV base and a one-hour quad ride to a Bedouin tent. You visit a Bedouin village, make Bedouin bread, drink tea and ride a camel to a neighbouring village. As evening falls there is a barbecue dinner in a private Bedouin tent, followed by a Tanoura show, belly dancing and stargazing.
The quad safari costs $35 and gives you more time on the quad: about two hours of riding, then Bedouin tea and a camel ride. Pickup is around 15:00 and you are back at about 18:00, so it fits after a morning on the beach. If riding is what you want, take the quads. If you want dinner, the show and the desert at night, take the super safari.
Valley of Camels in Wadi El Gemal national park
The Valley of Camels trip is a private jeep safari for your group in the Wadi El Gemal reserve. The jeep collects you at your hotel around 7:00. The stops are a panoramic viewpoint, the ancient Siwak tree and the Skiat Temple, with camels along the way. Lunch around midday is chicken, potatoes, rice and salads, and you are back at about 13:00.
Entrance fees and tickets, the guide and Bedouin tea are included. The jeep has no air conditioning, so wear light clothes and bring a head cover. Take your passport with you.
Quads: licence, age and what to wear
The quads have only a throttle and a brake on the handlebars, so no training or driving licence is needed. Teenagers from 16 can ride on their own. You get a safety briefing in English at the base, and guides stay with the group for the whole ride.
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring sunglasses, drinks and your passport. A headscarf (arafat) can be bought at the quad centre if you do not have one.

We might ask you to send a photo of your passport. This reduces the waiting time in the port or when leaving the reserved areas of Sharm el-Sheikh by booking everything in advance. In response to your request, we will send the bus arrival time for you. An important clarification: the bus is waiting at the gate, outside the hotel. This significantly shortens the transfer time. All excursions can be booked just one day before the desired date of visit, except for tours by plane.
