Boat trips and islands in Hurghada
This page lists every boat trip we run from Hurghada: island days on a group yacht, the semi-submarine, parasailing, and private boats for your own group. Group trips cost $18 to $50 per person and private boats start at $250. Pickup from your hotel gate is included, and you can book online and pay later.
Island days from Hurghada follow a similar pattern: pickup around 8:00, a yacht from the port, one or two snorkelling stops on the reef, lunch on board and some time on a beach, then back at your hotel around 17:00. The trips differ in time on the island, number of swim stops and what happens on board. Shorter trips fit into a morning: the semi-submarine leaves at 9:00 or 12:00, and parasailing runs from about 10:00 to 12:00.

Which island trip to choose in Hurghada
On Orange Bay by boat the yacht stops at Orange Bay Beach for snorkelling over the coral, followed by lunch on board (kofta, fish fillet, salad, pasta and rice) and a banana or sofa boat ride. Prices start at $25.
Paradise Island is part of the Giftun group. You get about two hours on the island, which has umbrellas and mats, then a snorkelling stop on a reef in the open sea, lunch, and belly dancing and a foam party after lunch. It suits people who want more beach time, from $50.
Nemo Island is the lowest-priced island day, from $20. It has two snorkelling stops and a visit to an untouched white beach where seagulls gather, and dolphins sometimes appear near the boat. On the Orange Bay and Nemo Island trips you can add an intro dive with an instructor for an extra fee.
Snorkelling trips and the semi-submarine for non-swimmers
If someone in your group does not swim, the Seascope semi-submarine is the easy option. You sit on an air-conditioned lower deck and look at corals, fish and turtles through large windows. A snorkelling stop follows, with equipment included; drinks on board cost extra. Departures are at 9:00 or 12:00, from $18.
Parasailing is a short morning trip: pickup around 10:00, a private beach, a flight of about 7 minutes behind a boat at up to 100 metres, and back at the hotel around 12:00.
Private boats, yachts and fishing from Hurghada
A private speedboat takes up to 7 people for about 4 hours at sea with your own captain. You choose the stops: Orange Bay, Paradise Island, Magawish Island or reefs the captain suggests. Masks, snorkels, fins, life jackets, soft drinks and snacks are on board, and pickup is at a time you choose. From $250.
The private yacht is a full day, roughly 8:00 to 17:00, with two snorkelling stops in the protected reef area, a seafood lunch and an afternoon swim at a bay known for its resident dolphins, or a visit to Paradise Island or Orange Bay. An intro dive to 3 to 5 metres costs extra. From $300.
Professional fishing is a full day on a speedboat for up to 5 people, with rods provided and lunch on board. You fish donka style from a drifting or anchored boat at 5 to 70 metres, and the catch depends on the season: tuna, mackerel, barracuda and others. From $650.
What to bring and what costs extra
Bring a photo of the first page of your passport on your phone, swimwear, a towel, sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen. Intro dives and photos or videos by the boat photographer cost extra, and so do transfers from El Gouna, Safaga, Sahl Hasheesh, Makadi and Soma Bay.

We might ask you to send a photo of your passport. This reduces the waiting time in the port or when leaving the reserved areas of Sharm el-Sheikh by booking everything in advance. In response to your request, we will send the bus arrival time for you. An important clarification: the bus is waiting at the gate, outside the hotel. This significantly shortens the transfer time. All excursions can be booked just one day before the desired date of visit, except for tours by plane. Also remember that: we do not take prepayment (except for excursions by plane or on an individual yacht). Payment with the guide, day to day.
